Day one for most new employees is full of thrilling paperwork and housekeeping busywork. Although these kind of first days are pretty much expected, it’s important to keep your new employees motivated and excited about your company from day one. This will ensure that they keep coming back and doing their best work. If you start them on a training program, make sure it’s interactive and stimulating. If you throw them right into their work, check up on them regularly, explain why their role is important in the company’s big picture, and reward their hard work. Keep them happy and motivated from the start and your best candidates will turn into your best employees.
